Fast, Furious and Free for spectators!

Entry to the 2008 Nissan UCI Mountain Bike World Cup will be FREE for spectators, and there will be free bus transport from the Woden and City interchanges.

Spectators will be treated to a weekend of action-packed speed, skill and adrenalin at Canberra's renowned Stromlo Forest Park on August 30 -31 as the world's top mountain bikers battle it out on the cross country, downhill and four cross (4X) racing courses.

Whether you are a keen rider or have never been in the saddle, you will be entertained with a weekend jam packed full of entertainment.

The weekend of August 30-31 will not only see amazing action on-course, but also in the event village where all of the off track entertainment will take place. Entertainment in the event village will include live music, children's entertainment, food and drink stalls, support competitions and the Expo area with trade stands offering all the latest mountain bike goodies.

The World Cup will be Australia biggest mountain biking event for 2008 - be part of the action!

Getting to the World Cup

There are plenty of options for getting to the Nissan UCI Mountain Bike World Cup – bus, drive or ride (and really feel part of the action).

There will be FREE Action busses from the City and Woden interchanges, plenty of on-site car parking and even a secure bike compound.

About CORC

Established in 1988, Canberra Off-Road Cyclists (CORC) is the largest mountain bike club in Australia. CORC affiliated with Mountain Bike Australia in 1999 as an MTBA Foundation Club. The CORC membership base also covers nearby regions such as regional NSW and northern Victoria, with members joining the club from right across Australia.

CORC offers a variety of competitive and social activities for riders of all ages and abilities. The club runs about 70 racing events each year, ranging from weekly dirt-crits to the biggest 24hour race in the world, the Scott 24.
